A 14-Year Old

Note: I have to say this part is a little short, right?

I woke up at home. Not like I had passed out, I had just gone to sleep at home so I woke up at home, right? I tried to sit up but I still felt groggy.  Hannah was beside me her eyes closed. I thought maybe she had been waiting for me to wake up but had fallen asleep herself.  I nudged her with my elbow and she opened her eyes.  She looked at me and relief seemed to wash over her. She yelled, “Mom! Dad!”
“Ow, right in my ear,” I grumbled. She jumped out from the bed and ran out. A nanosecond later three figures were hovering over me. I rubbed my eyes feebly. Mom sat down beside me with Dad pouring a glass of water and Hannah kneeling down beside the side table. Rose, Jess and Jenny stood in the doorway. I don’t like people crowding around me like that. I whispered in Mom’s ear to please make them go away. Dad heard me and laughed, he shooed away my siblings and Jenny. Dad gave me my water and I drank it. Mom spoke softly to me while trying to adjust my pillow. “You can quit the Display if you want. You lost some blood. Not a lot, but still.”
“I was thinking about that actually.”
My parents smiled at me and left the room. A minute they were gone; Scott, Crystal, Hannah and Jenny came inside and started talking at once.
“You got us worried, Jean!”
“You never should’ve taken part.”
“Ouch! Bet that hurts like hell fire.”
“You’ll need something to cheer you up.”
“You must feel horrible.”
“God! You look ugly with these bruises and scars.”
“What’d the useless doctor have to say?”
I have to admit some of these comments didn’t make me feel much better. I put my hands on my ears and almost yelled at them to stop. Luckily they stopped. I told them the whole story with Jenny making ugly faces at the main part when I fell. The only good that came out of it was that Scott, Crystal and Hannah have agreed to take me to the mall after a week when my bruises are cured.

A week passed by. We were finally at the mall. Hannah had been using her credit card to pay. The four of us had just finished devouring this incredible meal in the cafĂ©. Now we were just roaming around with milkshakes in our hands. Crystal and I had an idea of decorating our rooms, to make them summer themed. We had mooched off towards the wallpaper side. Hannah and Scott were somewhere else. We looked at some wallpapers and finally chose one of them. I used my cellphone to call Hannah who said she was coming and also asked me to call Scott since he wasn’t with her. I texted him where we were and asked him to come. Suddenly, he came running down our aisle. He stopped to take in some air. We walked over to him.
He started, “I was just trying to find you people, when I saw this creepy looking guy wearing a mask. Instantly the guy Crystal saw flashed in my mind, so without waiting I decide to follow him. I walked and walked, I got your message just then. When I was reading it, I looked up and saw that the guy was staring at me. He narrowed his eyes and started coming towards me! I turned and ran. I thought I lost him when I saw you people.”

We were staring at him horror stricken. I looked at Crystal but she was staring ahead. I looked to where she was staring and saw a man in this vomit-green cardigan and jeans. He had his face covered. “Oh no!” I knew we had to run so adjusting my beanie I waited. Suddenly Hannah showed up behind me. I turned to her and gasped. She looked at the man and her eyes filled with worry. She first pushed me then Crystal the Scott behind her and turned to run. We ran too.
